General Questions

All the questions here are relevant to more than one topic. So, saving repeating these multiple times. You will find them here.

1Can You Help With Some Animation?

As a company, we've consciously opted to specialise in key business essentials, rather than adopting a 'jack of all trades' stance and potentially spreading our resources too thinly. This concentrated approach empowers us to help small businesses to properly realise their objectives.

While our focus may evolve over time, for the foreseeable future, our service offerings are exclusively based on WordPress websites. This commitment to specialisation allows us to consistently deliver high-quality results and exceptional value to our clients.

2Can You Update My Existing Site?

Should your update simply entail modifications to the text and images on existing pages, we can readily accommodate that. However, if your update necessitates a redesign, we would need to conduct a comprehensive assessment of your request to estimate the required time and resources. In many cases, starting anew can prove to be more cost-efficient.

Following this assessment, we can engage in a more detailed discussion regarding the cost to complete the work.

Please note that in order for us to carry out minor amendments, your website must be built on the WordPress platform.

3Do You Have Insurance?

Absolutely, we do!

Our coverage extends to the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the EU, and includes professional indemnity and cyber insurance.

If desired, we can provide a copy of our policy as verification prior to commencing any work.

4How Does The Process Work?

The procedure varies based on whether you're an existing client with pre-allocated hours or a new client exploring our services.

If you're a new client, we highly recommend scheduling a complimentary FREE 30-Minute Consultation. This session will allow us to grasp your needs better and provide you with a cost estimate for the work. Please note that this estimate is entirely non-binding and doesn't obligate you to proceed further.

To gain a clearer understanding, you can explore our process in detail by checking out How the Process Works.

5I'm Not Based In The UK, Can You Still Help?

Certainly. The marvel of the internet is its ability to bridge distances, enabling us to assist small businesses anywhere in the world, from London to Auckland and all points in between.

Although our prices are listed in British pound sterling, we can easily convert these into your local currency for your convenience.

6What Are Your Current Lead Times?

This changes weekly based on busier and quieter times. We could put our lead times here, then get a big job in, and things may take longer.

Because of that, when you book your FREE 30-Minute Consultation, we can let you know of our current timescales and when we should hope to have your project completed.

7What's Your Preferred Method Of Receiving Files?

You have a few options for sharing your photos and files with us. You can use DropBox (directed to the email address [email protected]), WhatsApp, or even traditional eMail.

If you opt for email, please ensure to include your company name in the subject field. This way, we can promptly begin working on your updates without any unnecessary delays.

As for the file formats, please submit them as follows:

  • Text updates, we require files in .doc format.
  • Image updates, we accept .PSD, .jpg, or .png files.
  • Video updates, we prefer a YouTube share link.

Invoices and Payment Reminders

All the questions in this section are for those who pay for their website design or maintenance via invoice.

1How Do I Pay My Invoice?

When we send an invoice you will get an email from WebVA with the subject 'Invoice' then the invoice number. On there will be the payment ammount to be made and then a view and pay button.

From there you will be presented with the ways to pay. We currently have PayPal and by Card. On here you can view your invoice again. Once we have received payment you will then receive a second email saying thank you for your payment. This will automatically mark you invoice as paid our side and no payment reminders will be sent.

You have 7 calendar days to pay the invoice, if this has not been paid by the payment date you will receive 2 payment reminders. The first will be 2 days past due, and then 6 days past due.

Failure to pay after those days will result in your account being suspended and no work will be made to your website.

2How Long Do I Have To Pay My Invoice?

You will have seven calendar days to make payment.

On the invoice on the right-hand side, under the invoice number and date, you will find the payment due date. If you get your invoice and it is not showing this date, please get in touch with us, and we can clarify when we need the the invoice paid by.

3I Have Not Received My Invoice Yet.

If you have not received your invoice, please get in touch, and we will share it with you via a link via WhatsApp and eMail.

If you then still are unable to receive your invoice we will provide you with our banking details or PayPal details to make that payment direct to us.

4I Have Problems With My eMail, How Can I Get My Invoice?

No problem; we can provide you with a link to pay for your invoice via text or WhatsApp.

If these methods are not possible then we are able to take a payment over the telephone.

5Why Have I Received A Payment Reminder?

Payment reminders automatically get sent out when a payment has not to be registered against your invoice. If you pay using the payment links in your invoice email, then this will automatically mark it as paid.

However, if you pay via any other method, this can take up to 48 hours to update your account, which could lead to a payment reminder being issued in error. If this happens, we will look to reach out and confirm that everything has gone through fine.

6What Are Your Bank Details?

For all our UK clients, the bank details you need to make a payment are as follows;

  • Sort Code - 23-69-72
  • Account Number - 28657652

If you can use your invoice number as the payment reference, this will enable us to update your account quicker.

For all our overseas clients you can send your payments to our PayPal. When it asks for what is your payment for, please put your invoice number. That way we can update your account and mark that as paid.

7When do You Send Invoices To Pay My Retainer?

We send invoices 10 days prior to your payment date.

We will require payment within 7 days, this allows us to then mark your account as paid and get those amendment requests reset for you.

Retainer Packages

Whether you have a couple of amends each month or many, we have 3 different packages to suit all budgets and requirements.

1Are there Any Restrictions On What I Can Use My Requests For?

You can use them for anything you feel your business needs (so long as it is a service we offer).

We do, however, ask you to get in touch with us to discuss your requirements and for us to let you know how many amend requests would be used up.

2Can I Roll Over Amendment Requests To The Following Month?

I am afraid any unused amend requests will be lost when they reset on your payment due date.

If you need more hours, you will need to either purchase additional Amendment Requests or wait until they reset on your payment due date.

3I Cannot Pay My Invoice By The Due Date, Will My Requests Reset Still?

Without that payment, your hours will not reset and carry over. Your payment date will remain unchanged even if you pay after the due date.

An example would be if your payment due date is the 1st of May, and you don't pay until the 4th. Your next payment due date is still the 1st of June.

4When Do My Amendment Requests Reset?

Your hours will reset each calendar month. This date will vary depending on when you took out the retainer. If you have paid for your package online, you can see when your hours will reset when your next payment is due.

If you pay via invoice, you will get this two weeks before payment is required. This will have the date payment is required on there, which will also act as when your hours will reset.

5What Is A Retainer Package?

A retainer package is a package that offers you vast discounts by purchasing amendment requests in advance.

We have packages starting from 5 monthly requests all the way up to 15 per month (each request can have up to 4 amends).

Website Design and Hosting

Asking all those website design questions. From whether you need hosting can you guarantee page 1 on Google? If there is something missing here and you still need a question asked, please get in touch.

1Can You Guarantee Page 1 On Google?

Let's set an expectation level; ranking on Google relies on many factors. This includes SEO, whether your website offers a responsive mobile design, how often the website is updated, backlinks, and the list could go on.

Although we cannot guarantee rank on page 1, we will do all we can to give your website the best chance of ranking as high as possible for keywords and phrases.

2Can You Host My Website For Me?

We do not offer hosting services with our website. We can advise you on what we feel would be the best fit based on your requirements.

In the past, we have used GoDaddy and IONOS (formally 1&1) for clients' websites as we have found them excellent in delivering what they needed.

Prices with GoDaddy start from just £3.99 per month and IONOS from £6.00 per month (however, they run offers all the time so keep checking).

3Do You Need Access To My Hosting Account?

Not necessarily; however, if you would like us to set up the domain and then the WordPress website itself, then we would need some information from you. If you are not able to provide the FTP and database details, then we will need a login and password from you to be able to do so on your behalf.

However, if you feel like you can do that and then create an admin login for your website, then we wouldn't need anything from you other than that login.

We do not charge any extra if you'd like us to handle the website creating from your hosting account.

4Do You Provide A Copyrighting Service?

We do, yes.

If you are having a completely new website built, or just wanting some new copy for an existing site, we can do this for you.

We use the most advanced AI that after asking you a few questions about your company, can create exactly what you want and while at the same time being SEO optimised for whatever keywords you would like!

Our prices start from just £25 and can get started on this for you today. Get in touch with us via WhatsApp to find out more and get a detailed quotation.

5Do You Use Themes?

We use some of the most powerful WordPress themes on the market to keep our prices competitive. Although they may be the same under the hood as some of the others we have created, the CSS (or the website's look) can be changed to match your business aesthetics.

We build our websites using BeTheme and Elementor. With that, unlike some agencies, we purchase a brand new license from the developer so that they can continue to update and add new features to which are already incredible themes.

6How Long Does A Website Take To Build?

This depends on what your requirements are. If you want a landing page, you are looking at quick turnaround. You then go to the other end of the spectrum with an eCommerce store with multiple products and worldwide shipping, which can take weeks to get polished and signed off.

Contact Us with your requirements, and we can get back to you with a price and a rough idea of lead times.

7This Sounds Good, How Do We Proceed?

You can get the ball rolling in one of two ways. You can book a no-obligation 30-Minute Consultation to discuss your requirements. Or, if you would rather, you can drop us a WhatsApp Message, and we will get a list of questions we need to answer to understand your requirements better.

If you are happy with our price and lead times, we will invoice you 50% of the total balance. We will have various sign-off stages throughout the design process. Once the final sign-off has been made, and the remainder of the balance paid, we will arrange a date and time for your site to go live.

8Why Does My Website Have A Maintenance Page?

This is so we can work on your website without others outside your business seeing what's happening. Nothing is worse than viewing a website that appears incomplete. A website is full of placeholder images and text.

There is no faster way to have a potential customer click away from your site and onto a competitor.

For this reason alone, we pop a maintenance page up for the duration of the build process.

9Your Entry Prices Start From £300! Why So Cheap?

We have over ten years of creating websites for small businesses worldwide. With that, we know that starting a business is expensive if done right. This means getting a website that aligns with your vision for the company. We felt we could offer this with a website starting from £300.

We also researched and looked at what web design companies are currently charging. On average, you were looking at close to £500 for the same level of design. We have even been told that some of our clients had been quoted £2,000 for the same as when we charge £300.
